Long-time Golden Drum members Matt and Hillary Canale will facilitate kirtan monthly in the space. Matt has been studying kirtan for the past decade in Hare Krishna temples in the city and upstate New York. Kirtan is a beautiful way to learn how to sing as a practice to offer our hearts and love to something much greater than ourselves.

The cacao ceremony is a sacred gathering in which participants gather to connect to their hearts and experience new life through the healing qualities of cacao.

A plant revered by the indigenous people of the Americas, cacao has received widespread recognition through its usage as the key ingredient in chocolate. For the Mayan people, cacao is utilized as a rebirthing medicine, helping people get rid of negativity, release emotional suffering, and experience universal love.

This two-hour workshop invites you to connect with your inner self through dance. Utilizing Rumi's poetry as a guiding philosophy, participants will explore emotional paths that inspire movement. Following the workshop, enjoy the performance titled "Know Thyself." Witness a spiritual initiation, reminiscent of ancient traditions, featuring a priestess whose dance incorporates snake movements to embody the soul's expression.

Dream Seed is a sound healing ensemble created by members of Golden Drum, Sacred Arts Research Foundation, and Didge Project. Shamanic chanting, mantras, overtone singing, Native American songs, indigenous music, didgeridoos, crystal singing bowls, bells, gongs, harmoniums, tuning forks and other overtone-emitting instruments are used to create an environment conducive to deep relaxation and inward investigation.

This week’s Prayer Carriers class will be led by Kawennontie from the Haudenosaunee (Mohawk) nation, who will share teachings on how the stars, Grandmother Moon, and Mother Earth guide women in understanding womanhood. FreeDom Flowers, owner of Mama Flowers Healing Art Sanctuary, will also join to guide participants in connecting with the Heart of the Earth and the Spirit of the Rose, a symbol of self-trust, self-love, and the divine feminine.

We will discuss the astrology of the time, take a moment to set intentions, enter into a sound bath with reiki, and end with an integration circle with a warm drink led by Cassie Luzenski and Adrian DiMatteo.

This 9-Month, 120-hour in-person and online multi-cultural training course is designed to give participants a hands-on approach to facilitating sound healing sessions and using sound for personal enrichment. By bridging the fields of sacred music, energy work, and healing traditions, participants will strengthen their capacity as sound workers and will walk away with the skills and knowledge to be able to incorporate sound into healing sessions and meditative environments.

Join Mexica elders Yolanda Porcayo and Lupita Lare Tovar on Tuesday, October 8th, to learn about tools to create your own sacred space. As the Day of the Dead approaches, we will learn how to create an altar to remember and honor our families and our ancestors.

Join us as we come together to connect with the powerful energy of the New Moon and Solar Eclipse in Libra. This is a wonderful moment for deep self reflection as we turn towards the energy of Libra for guidance on how to balance the scales of our relationship with ourselves and with others. We will discuss the astrology of the time and the meanings of the solar eclipse, then we will enter a combined Reiki and Sound meditation led by Cassie Luzenski and Adrian DiMatteo.
